What is Regulatory Analysis Chart Builder?

Chart Builder is a core compliance tool, built to handle comparisons between regulations at both the federal and state level. Safety professionals are able to divide states between specific regulatory topics, and search for differences between them. This allow for a few key benefits:

  • Save time and effort researching state and federal regulations.

  • Find all regulatory information and updates in one place.

  • Easily compare regulations against industries or locations

  • Ensure Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance.

How Can I Find Chart Builder?

Navigate to ‘Tools’ on the left-hand rail of your EHS Hero dashboard. There, you’ll find Chart Builder listed under Content-Powered Tools.

  1. Chart Builder’s tile

Click into this, and you’ll be pulled into Chart Builder for the first time.

How Can I Begin Using Chart Builder?

Once inside, you’ll see a list of regulatory topics to choose from under ‘Edit Topics. Select a few that mark your interest and select  Edit States’ at the top. (You can also name and manage your charts from here as well.)

  1. The Edit Topics and States tabs

After selecting a few key states you’d like to compare, you’ll be able to see their results on the next tab: View Results. Here, you’re able to see a list of comparisons based on the topics you’ve selected before in those key states.

Once each topic and state selection is to your liking, you can move into saving and exporting your chart:

3. Save and Generate

If at any time, you’d like to view your saved Charts, you can view them under ‘My Charts’.
