Once you’ve finished editing and are satisfied with the contents of your handbook, go to the Organize Output section.
Step 1
Handbook Output
- Choose how you want your handbook to be published by choosing among the three options:
- Separate/Individual Handbook for each state - Separate state handbooks that also include general policies.
- Single/Combined Handbook for all states - Combined handbook with all states and general policies.
- Create your own customized group of state handbooks - Create handbooks with specific state groups, including all general policies.
- a When Single/Combined Handbook or Customized Group Handbook is selected, you will be able to define where you want your State-Specific Acknowledgments to be shown.
Once you’ve chosen your output, click the Next arrow at the bottom.

Handbook Grouping
Custom groups allow you to manage what states are in your handbook outputs.
Assign a name to your group and select the state(s) you want to include in that handbook.
Step 2
Rearrange Policies
In this area, you can rearrange where the policies are shown in the handbook. Expand each section by clicking the + sign and drag and drop the policies to rearrange as you see fit.
NOTE: If you selected your output to be Separate/Individual Handbook for each state or Create your own customized group of state handbooks, select a state/group from the drop-down box to rearrange for that specific state/group.
Once you’re ready to proceed, be sure to hit the green SAVE button.
Step 3
Preview Handbook
You can choose whether you want a flag added to your handbook’s title page by checking off the box on this page. You can also further show/hide the flag from the Title Page of your handbooks by clicking the check box for the individual handbook.
To preview your handbook, click on the “PDF Preview” button next to the flag. A new window will open with a preview of your handbook.
NOTE: If the browser you’re using has a pop-up blocker enabled, you may need to disable it to preview your handbook.
