Creating Quick Links

Quick Links are meant to be an intuitive way to save frequently used external links inside of EHS Hero. This allows a user to remain one-click away from crucial information within their workflow, like the OSHA homepage or a company intranet for example.

1a. Quick Link’s location on an administrator dashboard

On a user’s dashboard Quick Links can be found in the lower right corner, below News. On a newly-created dashboard, or a dashboard without any Links, there will be no default Links. No worries, creating one is easy.

Adding a New Quick Link

Assembling a new Quick Link isn’t difficult at all and can be done in a few simple steps.

First, click on the Edit Pencil on the right side of the Title. After being clicked, this will open a popup containing space for existing Links, as well as the flow for creating a new one:

Second, navigate to the top right-hand corner of the popup and click on the ‘Add New’ button. After this, the flow for the creation of the Quick Link will begin. You’ll be presented with a series of textboxes to allow for the input of the main content of your Quick Link. These are things like its Title, Description and the URL itself.

1d. Details needed to add a new Quick Link

After these details are filled in, you’ll receive a confirmation and you’ll be able to find your new link on both your dashboard and in Manage Quick Links:

Managing Your Quick Links

After creating a few Quick Links, you’ll begin to notice that they’ll stack on your dashboard, and within the Manage Quick Links Widget. That’s normal and is meant to make multiple Quick Links manageable.

You can sort these to your liking, and even delete them, all from this popup:

Now, you’re off! Creating and managing your Quick Links is an easy way to keep some of the most important places in your workday at your fingertips.
