In this issue of EHS Hero's What's New, ongoing discussions around the federal deadline to reduce transportation emissions are expected to boost electric vehicle (EV) sales. Concerns have been raised by 26 Republicans, led by Rep. Lloyd Smucker, regarding the EPA's proposed Clean Power Plan 2.0, which they believe could threaten the reliability of the PJM Interconnection grid. Additionally, the EPA has granted a petition to address PFAS formed during the fluorination of plastic containers and announced updates to strengthen the Safer Choice and Design for the Environment (DfE) Standard. Recent updates include California's revised definition of "High-Exposure Trigger Task" for silica in both general industry and construction, and new resources like New Jersey and Michigan's Universal Waste guidance documents. Coming this fall, the upgraded EHS Hero platform will offer enhanced features, including a more configurable dashboard, improved search capabilities, and better user management tools.
