Customizing Your Notifications in EHS Hero
Notifications are an easy, non-intrusive way to stay updated with important information across your experience within EHS Hero. We’ve updated how notifications are configured, as well as their presentation to keep your on track.
Finding Your Notifications
On your dashboard, navigate to the top right-hand corner, find the bell icon – near your profile picture.

Upon clicking the icon, you’ll see it expand. This where your notifications will live and will begin to accumulate from updates to Actions your assigned to, new Regulatory and State content and more.
From this notification drop-down you’re able to interact with your notifications to view a specific piece of content or view an Action for example.
Notification Center
Think of the Notification Center as your command center for your notifications. Here, you’re able to opt-in to specific updates you’d like to receive from EHS Hero. These updates are from a few places:
RegUpdate
These are notification settings for both State and Federal Regulatory updates that are sent as emails. Here in the Notification Center, you can edit the categories, and states you’d like to see in your email you receive twice a week.
Regulatory Activity
These notifications are for newly-updated regulations, or for new regulatory content entirely.
News
News updates send notifications once a new article has been presented.
Training Materials
These are updates to notify a user of Training content being newly revised or added.
Notifications from these components may begin to accumulate over time, and to avoid that, we’ve allowed notifications to stack. We’ve also allowed them to refresh weekly to avoid you from becoming overwhelmed.
Now that you’ve seen what kinds of settings there are in the Notification Center, let’s find it.
Finding The Notification Center
Navigate to the bottom of the left-hand rail and click on the gear icon, this will take you to Settings.

Here, you’ll see the Notification Center at the top.

And it’s that simple! You’re well on your way to becoming a notifications maestro. You can opt-in and out from here. Some of your notifications may be subscription dependent, so make sure to check with your EHS Administrator.
