Federal and State Topic Analysis

Compare state and federal regulations side-by-side in plain English, with related resources.


Select a Topic
1. Expand All Categories - Easily access a full list of topics by expanding all categories. Click on a topic to view the analysis.

2. Show Topic List - For a complete list of topics in alphabetical order, click Show Topics A to Z. Select your preferred topic to view the analysis.


3. Keyword Search - Enter a keyword and click search. All the topic names that include that keyword will populate, allowing you to click the topic of your choice.


4. Expand Category Section - Click on each category to see assigned topics. Select a topic to view the analysis.



Conduct Analysis

1. Show Topic List - For a full list of topics in alphabetical order, click Show Topics A to Z and select the desired topic for analysis.

2. Keyword Search - Enter a keyword and click search. All the topic names that include that keyword will populate, allowing you to click the topic of your choice.


3. Related Content - Here is the additional content related to your selected topic. Click on the document type link to access the content.


4. Bookmark Analysis - Save the analysis to your My Bookmarks page by clicking Bookmark. For more details, refer to the Bookmarking Content section.


PRO-TIP
You can easily access commonly referenced topic areas by bookmarking them in your My Bookmarks account page. This will help you quickly find the information you need without having to search for it every time.

5. Print Preview - Click Print Preview to view and print your analysis.


6. Expand Sections - Click Expand All to expand all the sections and seamlessly read through the full analysis. 


7. Select State - Select the state you want to compare with the Federal analysis. Only the states included in your subscription will be displayed in the drop-down menu.


PRO-TIP
Is there usually one state you focus on when conducting your analysis? If so, set your default state within My Preferences so that state will show by default each time you come to the Federal and State Topic Analysis page.
